LPC2212/2214基于16位/32位Arm7TDMI-S™ CPU，该CPU支持实时仿真和嵌入式跟踪，并拥有128/256 KB的嵌入式高速Flash存储器。128位宽存储器接口和独特的加速架构使得32位代码可在最高时钟速率下执行。对于代码大小攸关的应用程序，备用16位Thumb模式可用最小的性能损失换取超过30%的代码压缩。

144引脚封装、低功耗、各种32位定时器、8通道10位ADC、PWM通道以及多达9个外部中断引脚，使得这些微控制器特别适合工业控制、医疗系统、门禁控制以及POS。可用的快速通用IO数从最多76个引脚(有外部存储)到112个引脚(单芯片)。凭借丰富的附加串行通信接口，它们也非常适用于通信网关，协议转换器，嵌入式软调制解调器以及其它许多通用应用。

2.1 LPC2212/2214/01器件的主要特性
  • 快速GPIO端口使端口引脚能够以高于原始器件3.5倍的速度切换。这些端口还允许随时读取端口引脚，无论其功能如何。
  • ADC的专用结果寄存器可减少中断开销。配置用于数字I/O功能时，ADC焊盘具有5 V容限。
  • UART0/1包括小数波特率生成器、在硬件中完全实施的自动波特率功能以及信号交换流控制。
  • 缓冲SSP串行控制器，支持SPI、4线SSI和Microwire格式。
  • SPI可编程的数据长度和主机模式增强。
  • 多元化代码读保护(CRP)允许实施不同的安全级别。LPC2212/2214/00器件也具有同样的特点。
  • 通用定时器可作为外部事件计数器操作。

2.2 所有器件的共同特性

  • 16/32位Arm7TDMI-S™微控制器，采用LQFP144封装。
  • 16 kB片上静态RAM和128/256 kB片上闪存程序存储器。128位宽接口/加速器实现高速的60 MHz操作。
  • 通过片上启动引导程序软件执行在系统编程(ISP)和在应用编程(IAP)。闪存编程每512 B行只需1 ms。单扇区或全芯片擦除只需400 ms。
  • EmbeddedICE-RT和嵌入式跟踪接口通过片上RealMonitor软件提供即时调试，并对指令的执行进行高速跟踪。
  • 八通道10位ADC，转换时间低至2.44 µs。
  • 两个32位定时器(带4个捕获通道和4个比较通道)、PWM单元(6个输出)、实时时钟和看门狗。
  • 多个串行接口，包括两个UART (16C550)、快速I²C总线(400 kbit/s)和两个SPI。
  • 矢量中断控制器带可配置优先级和矢量地址。
  • 可配置的外部存储器接口，最多4个块，每块拥有最高16 MB和8/16位/32位数据宽度。
  • 多达112个通用I/O引脚(5 V容限)。提供多达9个边沿或电平敏感型外部中断引脚。
