MSC8154E器件是我们第四代高端多核DSP器件之一，面向具有安全处理要求的宽带无线基站和其他通信基础架构。MSC8154E是一款基于恩智浦SC3850 StarCore®技术的四核DSP，旨在提升无线宽带设备的能力。它提供了较高的性能和节能效率，在高度集成的片上系统(SoC)中采用45 nm工艺技术，达到与4 GHz单核器件同等的性能。MSC8154E可帮助设备制造商和运营商创建解决方案和服务，使3G-LTE、WiMAX、HSPA+和TDD-LTE等新一代无线标准在短期内成为主流应用技术。 该器件旨在降低系统成本，将过去需要多个分立部件的功能集成到单一的器件中。

MSC8154E DSP具有较高的性能和集成度，整合了4个运行频率均为1 Ghz、完全可编程的全新和增强型SC3850 DSP内核，以及针对无线基础架构应用而高度优化的架构。在片上集成的MAPLE-B基带加速器由恩智浦开发，为Turbo和Viterbi通道解码以及DFT/iDFT和FFT/iFFT算法提供硬件加速支持，同时包含CRC处理。基于内部RISC的QUICC Engine®子系统支持多种联网协议，从而保证在分组网络上可靠地传输数据，同时大幅减轻DSP内核的处理负载。

MSC8154E内嵌大型内部存储器，支持多种先进的高速接口类型，包括两个RapidIO®接口、两个用于网络通信的千兆以太网接口、1个PCI Express®控制器、两个提供行业标准高速存储器接口的DDR控制器、4个多通道时分复用(TDM)接口，以及1个安全加密/解密处理器(SEC)。
