The NXP Cup EMEA, challenges students to design, build, and program intelligent autonomous vehicles using NXP technology. Open to students aged 14 and above, the competition brings together future engineers from across EMEA to develop real-world skills in embedded systems, control, computer vision, and autonomous navigation. Teams progress through qualification events for the chance to compete in the NXP Cup EMEA Finals and earn recognition among EMEA's top robotics talent.

Engineering Challenges for Autonomous Systems

The NXP Cup challenges teams to build and program autonomous vehicles that navigate independently using robotics, AI, and embedded systems.

Autonomous Navigation Challenge

Guide your robot through an unknown track using computer vision, sensing and real-time decision-making. Speed, reliability and adaptability are key.

Precision Control Challenge

Demonstrate complete control by automatically slowing down, stopping and positioning your robot with maximum accuracy.

Key Technologies

Computer Vision

Enable vehicles to detect, interpret, and respond to their surroundings.

Edge AI

Run intelligent decision-making directly on the vehicle in real time.

Embedded Systems

Build the hardware and software foundation of autonomous vehicles.

Autonomous Navigation

Turn sensor data into safe and accurate path planning.

Real-Time Control

Continuously adjust steering and speed for optimal performance.
