The RDA777T is the official MC33777 reference design.

This reference design enables rapid prototyping of battery junction box (BJB) solutions for automotive and industrial applications. The MC33777 supports ASIL D - capable current measurement, high accuracy voltage measurement and pyrotechnic switch control, making it suitable for safety critical battery architectures.

The RDA777T showcases a typical MC33777 system implementation designed to meet automotive constraints. Communication is implemented through an isolated daisy chain interface, simplifying integration into high-voltage battery systems.

Current Measurement

  • Supports up to 2 ASIL D measurements
  • Shunt temperature measurement with an external NTC resistor

High-Voltage Measurement

  • 8 positive measurements (up to +1 kV) with high accuracy
  • 2 bipolar measurements (up to ±1 kV) with high accuracy

Isolation Measurement

  • Isolation resistance measurement between high voltage and low voltage domains

Connectivity

  • Isolated electrical transport protocol link (ETPL) with BMS controller
  • Crash signal input monitoring

Power Supply

  • Isolated power supply taking +12 V as input
