Experience

Michael Hoffmann is executive vice president and general counsel for NXP Semiconductors. In this role, he leads the company’s global legal organization and works closely with the executive leadership team and governance bodies on strategic, regulatory and corporate matters.

Michael has been with NXP since 2007 and brings extensive experience across commercial, regulatory and transactional legal matters. He has held several senior leadership roles within the company, including general counsel for the Asia Pacific region, based in Singapore.

Most recently, he served as senior vice president and chief commercial counsel and deputy general counsel, leading NXP’s global commercial legal team and supporting key strategic initiatives.

Before joining NXP, Michael worked at T Mobile as senior legal counsel.

Education

Michael holds a Master of Laws in American Law from Wake Forest University School of Law and completed his First State Examination in Law at Heidelberg University. He also studied law at the University of Lausanne.

Interests/Hobbies

Michael enjoys an active lifestyle including a wide range of sports, both on land and on the water, traveling, and spending time with his wife and their three daughters.
