The NXP® SCMMPBS12CDM is a Mini Microcontroller Personality Board (MMPB) designed for stand-alone use as a low cost development tool, a device programming target board, or as a daughter card for MC9S12Dx evaluation boards. The SCMMPBS12CDM supports all MC(9)S12 C Family, 52-pin, 0.65 mm pitch devices. The SCMMPBS12CDM includes a 52-pin Enplas ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket, reset/LVI circuit, reset switch, Colpitts oscillator circuit with 16.0 MHz crystal, an oscillator socket, and a Background Debug Mode (BDM) connector for use with any BDM tool or the SCBDMPGMR12 programmer. The SCMMPBS12CDM also includes support for Pierce oscillator operation as well, with only simple modifications. The SCMMPBS12CDM is also quite useful for failure analysis and device evaluation activities. Please note that the SCMMPBS12CDM does not include a MC(9)S12 device.
