The MMA1260D is a z-axis 1.5g accelerometer with an analog output. The MMA1260D can be used for a variety of tilt applications, free-fall detection applications, and anti-theft applications. The MMA1260D evaluation board features a 5V power interface with an optional 9-15V power interface which allows the user to provide power with a battery. The board includes a push button for using the self-test feature of the MMA1260D and multiple test points. This kit is supplied for preliminary evalution purposes. This evaluation kit was populated with a production (MMA1260D) device. Current revisions of the data sheet are available on the Web.
