This training introduces Motor Control Application Tuning (MCAT) 2.0—, NXP's enhanced motor control tuning solution for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) field-oriented control (FOC) applications. You will learn how to use automated motor parameter identification, embedded runtime auto-tuning and the FreeMASTER-integrated graphical interface to configure, tune and optimize current, speed, field-weakening and sensorless control loops.
Through a live demonstration on NXP S32M27x hardware with different motor types, you will see how MCAT 2.0 helps reduce motor commissioning time from days to minutes while simplifying deployment, improving tuning consistency and accelerating motor control development.
