eFUSE Import Binary

eFuse tool also allows importing existing eFUSE images (which have previously been exported with the tool) into the current configuration.

The import/export buttons can be found in the right side of the tool, under Protection tab.

To proceed, click on Import Binary button and a file chooser dialog will open and let the user to choose the eFUSE binary file which is going to be imported.

If the current configuration is not saved, a pop-up will show up and ask the user if he wants to save (export) the current configuration before importing another one.

Note: If the current configuration has errors, the save current configuration pop-up will not show up because it’s not possible to export an invalid configuration.
After choosing the binary file to be imported, if it is invalid, there could be 2 possible errors:
  • The binary file is smaller than the minimum expected structure size.

  • The binary file is empty.

If the import process will be finished successfully, then the UI will be updated with values from the binary file.
