This chapter explains how to use DDR Tool to create and work with S32V DDR configuration.
DDR Tool configures the DDR controller embedded in S32V device family. DDR Tool provides an user-friendly graphical interface to configure DDR Controllers. It can be used for tweaking and optimizing the parameters of DDR configuration.
While configuring DDR, you can view register values of the DDR controller. The register values will be exported by the DDR Configuration table and written into generated C code at the corresponding address of the registers. After configuring DDR, you can generate code that will fit easily into your software environment.
DDR Tool helps configure a DDR controller, depending on the DDR memory placed on the board. The DDR memory may differ by various parameters such as number of chip selects, memory size, or ranks interleaving. To configure a new DDR controller, you need to use the memory information inside the memory manufacturer data sheet and fill the values in the interface. The DDR parameters are grouped together by functionality.
To use DDR Tool, you need to first create a S32V DDR configuration.
