Copying the diagram elements

If you want to use an existing diagram as the basis for a new diagram, you can copy the diagram elements using the following steps:

  1. Select all elements or only part of them on the source diagram.
  2. Right-click any selected element and choose Edit > Copy (alternatively, use Ctrl+C) to copy the selection.
  3. Open the destination diagram, right-click any selected element and choose Edit > Paste (alternatively, use Ctrl+V). The diagram elements will be pasted without formatting.
  4. Return to the source diagram, right-click any selected element and choose Edit > Copy format. Alternatively, click the copy format(Copy the format of the selected diagram elements) button on the toolbar.
  5. Switch to the destination diagram, right-click the canvas and choose Edit > Paste format. Alternatively, click the paste format(Paste the current recorded format (layout and style) on the selected diagram) button on the toolbar.
