RTOS Component

An RTOS is a Processor Expert component. It is able to provide information to an LDD component on how to create OS-specific calls in order to integrate an LDD component in a particular RTOS for the following cases:

• Enter/Exit critical sections (enable/disable interrupts)
• Memory allocation and de-allocation
• Declare, Install, Save, and Restore ISR in the OS
• Insert the OS-specific include C statements into LDD-generated code

An RTOS component is not intended to implement methods or events as another Processor Expert component. It provides the basic properties and APIs to make it compatible with Freescale's HAL architecture.
