Data Representation

The compiler recognizes ISO standard data types and some Power Architecture-specific types:

• Boolean Type
  Lists the name, size, and range of the boolean data type.
• Character Types
  Lists the name, size, and range of the character data types.
• Integer Types
  Lists the name, size, and range of the integer data types.
• Floating-Point
  Lists the floating point data types.
• AltiVec™ Data Types
  There are vector data types for use in writing AltiVec-specific code.
