Non-Local Labels

A non-local label is a symbol that represents an address and has file-wide scope. The first character of a non-local label must be a:

• letter (a-z or A-Z),
• period (.),
• question mark (?), or an
• underscore (_).

  Subsequent characters can be from the preceding list or a:

• numeral (0-9), or
• dollar sign ($).
