PEDebug.tgt V6.1.7
========================

- The PEDebug Connection has now being depreciated.
P&E Connections are covered by a set of new connections:

1)For the HC08:
---------------
 - Full Chip Simulation: P&E HC08 Full Chip Simulation with simulation of all on-chip peripherals.

 - Mon08 Interface: Mon08 Interface (through serial port, for P&E class I to IV).
   Connect to Motorola ICS boards or direct serial connection (MON08).

 - ICS Mon08 Interface: In-Circuit Simulation, using Mon08 Interface through serial port,
   for P&E class I to IV.

 - P&E Multilink/Cyclone Pro: Connect to P&E MON08 Multilink (USB and parallel)
   or P&E Cyclone Pro (USB, Serial and TCP/IP).

 - ICS P&E Multilink/Cyclone Pro: In-Circuit Simulation, using P&E MON08 Multilink (USB and parallel)
   or P&E Cyclone Pro (USB, Serial and TCP/IP).

For the HCS08:
--------------
 - Full Chip Simulation: P&E HCS08 Full Chip Simulation with simulation of all on-chip peripherals.

 - P&E Multilink/Cyclone Pro: Connect to P&E BDM Multilink (USB and parallel)
   or P&E Cyclone Pro (USB, Serial and TCP/IP).

PEDebug.tgt V 6.1.6
========================

List of new Features
--------------------
- Added P&E Trace Functionality for HC08 and HCS08 Full Chip Simulation

========================
PEDebug.tgt V 6.1.5
========================

List of new Features
--------------------

- This release supports derivatives of the following HC08 families:
AB, AS/AZ, GP/GT, GR, JB, JL/JK, KX, LJ, MR, RK, SR, EY, QT/QY, GZ, AP, LD, BD.

- Added HCS08 support for Full Chip Simulation and In-Circuit Debugging.
Supported HCS08 derivatives are:
9S08GB32
9S08GB60
9S08GT32
9S08GT60

- For the HCS08 when in In-Circuit Debugging mode, using the P&E BDM MULTILINK Rev. B cable,
added Metrowerks debugger HCS08 DBG module support:
A complete graphical user interface is provided, using a dialog
combined with context sensitive popup menus (mouse right-click) in Source,
Assembly, Data and Memory component windows to support the HCS08 DBG.

The Metrowerks 8/16 bits debugger Pedebug Target Interface provides thanks to the DBG module:
. Hardware breakpoints and watchpoints,
. Predefined Triggers,
. Expert Triggers,
. Program flow rebuild from DBG data capture,
. Real time code profiling and coverage (periodical program counter capture).

Using the Pedebug Target Interface, three modes are available:
.Default: Automatic (triggers, breakpoints, watchpoints, and trace possible)
DBG Module used to set up 2 breakpoints or one watchpoint
or to set up triggers selected by the user from a Predefined list.
The triggers comparator addresses can be set from the debugger Source, Assembly, Memory and Data component
using Set Trigger A or Set Trigger B pop up menu entry.
The Trigger condition can be set using the Trigger Module Settings dialog Trigger settings property page
or using the pop up menu entries.

.Expert (triggers through Expert triggers property page, trace possible)
User does need strong DBG module specific knowledge to use this mode.
The HCS08 core manual is needed, to understand meaning of the flags.
The triggers comparator addresses can be set from the debugger Source, Assembly, Memory and Data component
using Set DBGCA or Set DBGCB.
To setup Expert triggers mode the Trigger Module Settings dialog Expert triggers property page must be used.

.Profiling and coverage (no triggers, trace not possible)
Choosing this mode, the DBG module is setup to code execution profiling and coverage.
The Profiler and/or Coverage components should be opened to display results.
No trigger nor DBG based controlpoints can be set, the debugger must be stopped on the user request
(the BDC breakpoint or software breakpoints can still be used).

- Updated satus bar for HCS08 derivative in In-Circuit Debugging mode:
When the Pedebug Target Interface has been loaded, specific information are given in the HI-WAVE status bar.
Now, when In-Circuit Debugging is selected with a HCS08 derivative,
from left to right, the Trigger Module usage or condition, the derivative name,
and the HI-WAVE status (target status) are displayed.

Demo version limitations
------------------------
- The DBG support is limited:
. Code reconstruction is limited to the 20 latest instructions when in demo mode,
. No Profiling nor coverage when in demo mode,
. No Predefined triggers allowed when in demo mode.

Limitation
----------
- The DBG feature is only available in In-Circuit Debugging mode.

PEDebug.tgt V 6.1.4
========================

List of new Features
--------------------
- None.

Improvements
------------
Only cosmetic improvements:
- "PEDebug" correct target name displayed in Inspector.
- The Help file button points to the main debugger help file, no more "pedebug.hlp".
- PEDebug target "HC08-cpu"only: not possible to select P&E target with HC05 or
HC12 cpus (was possible when having "mixed cpus" installations) .
- no more TRACE feature available for this target (not possible to open Trace component).

========================
PEDebug.tgt V 6.1.3
